WebXbox series x cross play with PS5. So I just tried for 2 hours to start a game with my wife we both made new characters and got them through the first mission (independently) and no matter how hard we tried we could not join a game with each other ( one on Xbox series x and one on PS4 pro) both on NAT type open with wired connections. For the life of me I cannot get any reliable co-op with crossplay enabled. Ended up buying a 4th Steam license & with crossplay disabled we can & did play for hours yesterday.
